What Circles is, in four minutes

Every word, in order

1. 0:00Circles. What it is, in about four minutes
2. 0:04Three ways in. My Circles if you run one, Get my link if you are already in one, and New to Circles if you were invited or are just looking.
3. 0:16People start one when a team keeps missing each other, when somebody new is starting, or when a group only meets sometimes and the time has to count.
4. 0:27A small group who agree to show each other how they work at their best, so people meet you as you are, not as they guess.
5. 0:36This is a card. One person: their stance, where they are coming from, how they come across, and five suggestions for working with them. Indications, not destiny.
6. 0:48If you share, the host sees your name, the stance your read landed on, a short description of where you are coming from, and how to work with you.
7. 0:59They never see how much you are carrying, what things cost you, or how you recover. Those are not hidden behind a setting. They are not part of the card at all.
8. 1:12How it works. You invite a few people by email, and each takes a five to ten minute Stance Read. Simple questions, no right answers.
9. 1:22They see their own read first, then choose. Nothing reaches you until they do.
10. 1:28Then your circle fills in. Compare any two people, or ask Roger how to bridge a pair.
11. 1:34Always true: everyone chooses what they share, and can stop any time. And every time someone agrees, or takes it back, it is written down where nobody can edit it.
12. 1:46Name it, invite a few people, and even two is enough. Circles emails you a link to sign in, so there is no password. Members never sign in. Only you do.
13. 1:58Roger is the system guide, and he is here the whole way. Ask what your read means, or how to work with someone in your circle.
14. 2:11Nobody here is real. The words are. They are written by the same code that will write about your people, from the same published wording.
15. 2:21Pick someone to read the circle through their eyes. Every card is written for whoever is reading it.
16. 2:32How two of them work together. Rosa sees the upside, and Marcus looks for risk and fairness, so each of them gets one thing to do differently.
17. 2:43On Pro, the same pair read for the jobs people bring to it: managing them, developing them, when they are your manager, proposing to them, and when you clash.
18. 2:54And the room as a whole, which comes with every circle. No single way of working sets the tone here, so this group will be slower to agree. That is the trade.
19. 3:06How the group moves through work, from starting it to calling it, and which parts nobody here is drawn to. Here, nobody is most drawn to connecting it.
20. 3:17Her own card reads differently to her than it does to anyone else. It is the only one that may say what costs her, and her circle never sees that.
21. 3:28How she meets each stance, written from her side. Open the line under any one of them to read the other side: what someone with that stance reads about her.
22. 3:45In a circle and lost your link? Type the email your invitation was sent to and we will send it there. There is no account and no password.
23. 3:56Make your own circle. Name it, invite a few people. Even two is enough.
